About NDA
The Indian Armed Forces’ joint defense service training institute is the National Defence Academy (NDA), where cadets from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force train together before moving on to their respective service academy for additional pre-commission training. Maharashtra’s Khadakwasla is home to the NDA. It is the world’s first tri-service academy.
Three Param Vir Chakra recipients and twelve Ashoka Chakra recipients are among the NDA alumni. Additionally, the NDA has produced 27 serving Chiefs of Staff to date. NDA graduates from the same course include the current Chiefs of Staff of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The 137th course graduated on 30 November 2019, comprising of 188 Armed force recruits, 38 Maritime trainees, 37 Flying corps trainees and 20 recruits from cordial unfamiliar nations. In August 2021, the Supreme Court of India issued an order allowing female applicants to take the entire NDA entrance exam.

General Instructions for NDA Exam
- The entry gate closes 10 minutes before the commencement of the examination. For the morning session, the entry closes at 9.50 am while for the afternoon session, the entry closes at 1.50 pm
- Preserve the admit card till the declaration of the last NDA result 2023
- Applicants are responsible for the safe custody of their NDA admit cards
- Mobile phones, calculators, or any other electronic devices are banned inside the paper Centre
- Applicants should bring a black point pen for marking the answers
- Students whose photograph is not clearly printed on NDA admit card should bring photo-identity proof & three passport-sized photographs for each session of the paper with an undertaking
- Applicants are advised to visit their NDA exam Centre at least one day in advance to avoid any hassle on the day of the examination.
- Use of normal or simple wrist watches is allow inside the paper hall. Smartwatches are strictly prohibited.
- Wearing a mask is mandatory for all Students.
- Applicants without a mask will not be allowed entry into the exam Centre.
- Applicants need to remove their masks for verification .
- Carry a personal bottle of small sanitiser (transparent bottle).
